Racedeck and clean-out plug

Been researching Racedeck.

In the middle of the left side of the garage floor, I have a clean-out plug that sticks up a little bit (maybe less than about a quarter of an inch) from the concrete floor. If you step on it, you can notice a very slight bump. Has anyone with Racedeck encountered similar thing in their garage?

Will this cause a problem if I just lay the racedeck right on top of it? I figure if I ever need the plumber to check the cleanout drain in the garage, i can just temporarily lift out that section of racedeck.

The car tire will never drive over that part of the floor (it would end up right underneath the center of the car), so how much of a "bump" would I be looking at?

Is the underside of racedeck recessed a little bit from the sides or is the grid on the underside even with the edge of the tile?

Parts of the grid are even with the edges of the tile. If the clean-out only sticks up a quarter inch, I don't see why you could not leave the tile alone.

Alternatively, and what I would do, the tiles are easy to trim with a box cutter or the like. You could trim out the underside a bit to make a space for the plug. Might even be able to do this using a sharp wood chisel.

Or, you could do that if I'm picturing it accurately. I just installed my tiles last month, and cutting them is quite simple and easy.

Perhaps someone else here has done something for a similar situation and will chime in. I still have some scrap pieces of tile and, if I think to, I will try my idea out tomorrow and post the results. If I remember.....

depending how much it actually sticks up, you could either trim the bottom of a section of one tiles or simply cut out a small hole in one tile.

Ok, I tried cutting out a space on the underside of the tile scrap, and my box-knide idea is a bit difficult. The wood chisel did work, not as easily as I'd anticipated, but you only have to do that one tile. Draw a circle with a marker pin and go to it. If you use a chisel, it would have to be sharp.

What is the diameter of the plug? If it is larger you can maybe do it with a jigsaw. If it is smaller you can use a hole saw drill bit....

Router set to that 1/4". If you don't have a router this would justify buying one......See how I think?

Make sure you mark which tile is covering the plug. It will be hard to find 10 years from now when the plumbing stops up in the middle of a holiday weekend with company in for the weekend.
