RaceDeck and Heavy Cabinets, Toolboxes Etc. Questions.

I think I've finally made up my mind to get some RaceDeck Tuffshield flooring. I have a 21'x24' garage. I'm planning to build a toolbox/bench setup down one side wall, similar to the one Steevo did by utilizing toolboxes under the bench top.. On the back wall there will be four large Strong Hold cabinets that weigh around 1200 pounds each. Debating whether to build the benches on the concrete and place the cabinets on the concrete floor or do the same on top of the tiles. I talked with someone at RaceDeck and they said I may have an issue with the tiles expansion and contraction because of the weight involved. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am not sure who you spoke with, so I am not sure if I know any other factors where they would talk of expansion.
The weight of the cabinets you describe are a non factor for RaceDeck and will easily handle the load. Expansion is any surface only occurs during big thermal swings ( say 50 at night and 100 in day, with possible sunlight), not from weight.
With that said, as much as I would like to sell you more flooring footage, you do not need to have flooring under a cabinet that you may never move, no one will see it and it does not effect the performance of the floor system.

I have a lift in one part of my garage and in the other part, another lift and lathe/mill. Those are not cabinets but they are just as heavy and I have no issues with expension on my Racedeck. If I have the main door open on a sunny day, there are some "wrinkles" that pop up in the flooring but nothing worth fixing and it flattens back down when the sun is gone.

Unless the cost of extra reacedeck is a problem, I would do the whole garage. I have heavy objects including lifts sitting on the floor and there is no harm to the floor. Cleaning under the workbenches is easier and if you had to move them, you won't have to lift them over the tile.

I didn't put tile completely under my Lista cabinets. I would have, but because of the slope of the floor, putting them under the front edge helped with the leveling.

I have 2 60" toolboxes full of tools sitting on my Racedeck. Very heavy and no issues.

I think I have enough tiles to make a small pad and see how the cabinets work out. I thought about trimming the tiles around the benches and cabinets but I think It would end up annoying me aesthetically.

I agree... if you ever move or rearrange the cabinets, it will be a PITA. I just got several StrongHold cabinets this week and had no noteworthy issues shuffling them around on my RaceDeck.
