I have a 2 year old RaceDeck floor (Diamond Alloy) that I absolutely love.
I've cleaned up tar and grease marks in the past with mineral spirits.
I finally got around to cleaning the floor for the first time after the long winter. I used some mineral spirits again and it cleaned up well except for some of the tire marked areas.
I read on here that some people have used the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, and tried using that. It did remove all of the marking, but left those tiles with a dull finish and a whitish "residue."
Thinking the "residue" was from the Magic Eraser, I again cleaned the tile with mineral spirits, but when it dried the white "residue" was still there.
If I use my fingernail, I can scrape a bit and it comes off, but what comes off looks like it is the material that makes up the tile. It is almost as if the chemical in the Magic Eraser and/or the mineral spirits is eating away at the material.
Anyone have any ideas what is happening? Up to now, these tiles seemed so easy to clean.
