So I have been trying to figure out which way to design my new RaceDeck flooring before I order. This is the design my wife and I have agreed upon.

The top step area is going to be tiled with a light gray rectified porcelain tile.

I would appreciate everyone's honest thought and opinions.

Should I change the color scheme or design?

Looking into the garage, to the left, Would be Gladiator cabinets and 8' work bench, and the right is all my lawn equipment.

Here is an old pic of my garage.

Here is the design. (The top would be the garage door and the right, would be what I consider the left side of the garage.)

What's that washer & dryer doing in YOUR garage ? How would she like it if she found a motorcycle engine in the dishwasher ? Ask me how I know.... :lol_hitti

I think that's going to look very sharp. I like the idea of porcelain tile on the upper "appliance" area.

As I'm currently in the "research" stage myself, I'm looking forward to seeing pics. Good luck.

HAHAHA, It doesn't bother me, that much. Plus there is no where else we could relocate it to...

Thanks!

I've done the research, and RaceDeck is the way to go!

Looks good. The alloy color works well in the higher traffic areas. It doesn't show footprints, dirt and stuff on the floor as much as the dark colors.

Looks good to me. I'm bias to the free flow tile. Just remember that the darker tiles will make you garage look darker.
It is fun putting this stuff down :)

I like the free flow as well but I am afraid that if I drop things they'll fall through the grooves and I'll have to pop up tiles, also, how comfortable it is when kneeling on the floor while working on stuff.

Floor should be here next Monday, wish it would've gotten here sooner so I could do it during Thanksgiving weekend...

I haven't had any problems with stuff falling though but it isn't the most comfortable to kneel on. Not that the concrete under it was any better though.

Steal it all you want LOL

I picked up the porcelain tile this morning, that gets laid on Friday and then the RaceDeck gets here on Monday.

Looking for someone to lend me a table saw...

So I installed the flooring last night, took me just under 3 hours.

VERY HAPPY with the results! Thanks RaceDeck.

I'll post pics tonight or tomorrow after I get a few decent shots of it today.

Quick question, Can I cut tiles just under an inch to use as fillers?

RaceDeck makes a great product, but some people like a polyaspartic chip floor. I install these floors in North Kakilacki for some of the franchise cabinet people. They also carry the snapin floors, but don't like the idea of all the grease dirt and oil falling through. We can install a logo of your favorite team or a picture of your wife in the floor. Just some more choices to consider.
