#1 was my original plan, but then i started flipping through the gallery, and didn't want to change my order, so i came up with these other designs using the same number of tiles from #1.

Thanks for your feedback.

The 'couv
19 x 19 (or any other odd number) is a pain because its hard to do with symmetry. Your number one is the easiest to do, but you many consider that the number of single 1 ft tiles will make the pattern in real life a bit 'small'. The other patterns use 4x4 blocks which looks better when in real life (IMHO). Using the 4x4 then gets into the pain of symmetry with the 19 ft floor.....

Exactly right.. 19x19 is a pain.

#1 as well. The others look like you are playing space invaders ;-)

Hey, now, that's a great idea actually ;-) Personally I'd use 4 tile squares for a bigger, less busy pattern too...

it really does not matter. Once you get a car on one side, 2 motorcycles on the other, lathe & mill along the back wall, spare motor on the floor for the car, another motor on the engine stand for a different car, welder and who knows what else, you wont be able to see the pattern anyway. Go ahead, ask me how I know :)
