Racedeck Edging Size?

Hello,

What are the dimensions of Racedeck edging, please? And it available in the Tuffshield finish?

I like the checkerboard style with a border, but a 12"x12" border may look silly in my small garage.

I imagine the colored edging will provide the color contrast I'm seeking, but I'm curious if it's substantial enough to really show up.

I'm looking on the Racedeck site for pictures.

Hi, the tappered edge pieces are 3" by 12", hope this helps. Regards, Rick

We have both a 3" and and 2" ramp edge, the 3" is the standard and most popular as the ramp angle extends out more for rolling items onto the floor

I'm going to bring this thread back to life. I know the edging comes in strait pieces and pieces with outside corners, but does it come with inside corners?

Example: if you wanted to do like 4' off the walls with racedeck all around the perimeter of the garage with the center bare concrete or epoxy. What would you do with the inside corners where it changed directions?

I've been wondering the same thing as my garage extends further in the single stall than it does in the double stall. If I follow that pattern, I would need an inside corner section. I have never seen one, so I'm thinking you would need to cut the straight edge trim 3" and then line it up against the straight edge trim on the other inside corner tile.

One easy way is to miter ( spell?) cut the edges so you have an inside corner. You will need to cut one straight at 6" then another past the corner for the reverse angle corner

I have the narrower edging and it's only been in place for a couple weeks now. They are cupping, they rise up a bit at the ends and it looks a bit cheap. I don't know whether the wider pieces would not do this. Mine are in a spot that receives occasional direct sun, maybe that's a factor, though I don't see it.

The regular tiles [a mixture of freeflow and cointrac] are doing fine and look good. It is just the edging pieces. And, again, I have no experience with the wider edging and no way to compare performance.

They should not do that? but the narrow ones have more material per volume and if they are black get 3-4+ times as hot as the outside temps.. Call us and we can tell you a quick fix to try or we can send you out the 3" and maybe in another color like alloy and no charge.

Looking at the installation video on racedeck.com it looks like the garage door mark that the guy did on the floor is halfway the edge tile which means that the garage door bottom rubber will close on 1 1/2 of the edge ... which seems to make sense.

Is it the way that you guys have done the garage door edges?
