RaceDeck Edging

Hello all,

I'm in the process of planning to finish my garage up (I'll post pics as I work through the process), and have been looking hard at the RaceDeck for my flooring. Its a new build home (~2 years old), and I'm finally getting to my space.

While I've looked at alot of pictures and read alot of good things about RaceDeck, I haven't seen anyone talk about the edging for the most part. I definitely want to do the edging in the front for entry, but what are experiences with using that for the sides & back too instead of a raw edge? Not just for looks, but also utility. For the most part the sides of the garage that it will **** up to is the concrete footer, but on one side it will be a diamond plate baseboard.

Thoughts? Pics would be great if someone can share what each would look like up against the wall.

If the transition strips are installed at the wall they will create a shallow trough at the wall - but other than that there's no reason you can't do so if you want. I probably cut mine to fit a bit closer to the wall than RaceDeck usually recommends as I don't get any sun through the door opening and the garage is very well insulated and reasonably temperature stable. Plus it's pretty well pinned down with my four post lift and rows of too benches and shelving. I stuck a piece of foam backer rope in the space between the wall base and the edge of the tile to fill it and make it look a bit more finished.

Yes, we have a full line of ramp edging for RaceDeck to finish off your floor. As are floors are engineered at 1/2" tall, they are optional. Also, MeltDownRS is correct, you install the ramp edges just inside the garage the door ( touching the rubber weather strip is fine

I used the ramp edging on the front to match up with the frost lip. Nice transition as the tires roll into the garage. The other 3 sides I left raw with about the clearance that Race Deck calls for. Love my FreeFlow. CJDave.
