Racedeck fitment/tightness issue

Just checking here before calling the mothership... I just got a set of charcoal and silver tiles... The charcoal are all fine. The silver are all "bad" to various degrees...

The tile has some plastic extrusion in one corner that needs to be scraped off (not a huge deal but annoying since they come in 4, and I lay them in 2x2 so I hate to separate them and reattach them) but mostly, there seems to be a defect in the molding of the clips... The are too close together and therefore do not "snap" in place to secure the other tile. The end result is very loose joins with a gap between tiles, looks sloppy -see pics. The tiles do not stay together tightly, even the bunch of 4 as they come in a box breaks apart when you pick it up, especially if the defective locks are on the end...

I do not recall this from my old garage racedeck, and the charcoal tiles are normal. So I'm guessing bad batch ? All 3 boxes are the same to varying degrees... I'm not looking forward to sending that back (small car) or waiting for more... I tried bending the tabs on a couple tiles but that does not work, they return to their close-together state and I have a saggy join, not a snap-tight set of tiles... opinions ??? TRicks, tips? Live with that ? See pics: Red arrows bad, green good, for contrast. Right outta the box, it's pretty obvious they were molded wrong or cooled off in a bent state !

Yeah they're gonna exchange it - good customer service... I was wondering if I could avoid that and move on with my project but looks like there is no fixing this... Hopefully what I get looks different - if it's the same batch, well....

The female tabs do not appear to be consistent shape-wise in your second picture; some "D's" are bigger than others.

Were these labeled Made In The USA, or has RaceDeck shipped production overseas?

I have never known RD to ship anything overseas. They make it all in Utah.

ABSOLUTELY let them exchange it.

Hi-
I am sorry to hear that you have some tiles that have an quality issue that should not have made it past our QC? Please contact Dunja at our office to have them replaced asap... If possible, please have the tag number on the boxes it came in so we can see how and where this happened.

Jorgen
