Racedeck Floor Installed

Spent a few hours between Saturday and Sunday installing my new Racedeck floor. I couldn't be happier with the way it looks. By the garage door opening its slightly bouncy but that is because my floor is not very level. If I get courageous I may try to level it at some point but for now it will do.

When temps get a little warmer I will finish the paint job I started. Right now everything is primed and ready to go. For the cabinets I was thinking dark grey and light grey for the walls.

I still need to put two tiles around the pole, however, trying to take measurements and then make the cut seems too ambitious for me.

That is quite a transformation! Looks great.
Re: the pole cut; make a template or find a small object the diameter of the pole(or a touch larger), coffee can lid?. That's easier than fighting with measuring down on your knees. You could measure to the closest cut line, cut the opening in a piece of cardboard, etc and see how it lines up.

Heck, as nice as it looks, how about boxing in the pole with some 1" trim and have a mounting surface for a light hook, calendar, clock, etc.

Thanks guys! I'm really happy with it overall. I am looking forward to nicer weather so I can spend some quality in the garage.

The finished product feels great, not too soft not too hard. Comfortable walking on it with bare feet. The black seems to show dirt and grime pretty easily but that was to be expected.

The hardest part was breaking down the tiles. If you notice, the middle is alternated with graphite and alloy. When the tiles are shipped they are snapped together as 4 all the sane color. This required me to break them down. Looking back I would redo it incorporating the 4 sqft solid color.

Amazing how the floor can change the entire room. Very nice!

It really makes a huge difference. The best part for me anyway is that I can take it and go if and when I ever move. Also the shape of my floor was, well still is just cant see it, very bad. The prep work for epoxy would be intense and it still may not hold. I went for the sure thing instead and I am glad I did.
