I will be moving into a new house at the first of the year:drool: & i am thinking about doing a racedeck floor. my question is ( i know it has been asked before:)) how it would hold up specifically to jackstands with a full size SUV (SUBURBAN) loaded on it?? i am very interested in the flooring, although the epoxy covering is also another option.

thank you for your time on this question...

I have racedeck flooring and love it. You might get some small marks on the tiles. What I did with the rollers from my lift I just bought a small piece of 1/4 inch steel and placed the steel under the wheels on my lift. By doing this I'm spreading the weight of the lift and vehicle over a larger area of the tile. This has worked out great. Beside, racedeck also comes with a life time warranty I believe. Best of luck!!

I dont have racedeck flooring, But after reading the above I got to thinking (yea I know that can be dangerous) But with jackstands you could tack weld some 1/8 - 1/4 plate to the legs of the jackstands to spread out the load... Then you dont need to keep track of the plates..

I have had some issues with really heavy items on small casters leaving dimples in my Racedeck. I got bigger casters and solved all my problems. As long as your caster or jack stand leg is more than about 2 or 3 square inches, you wont leave a mark on the floor. The webbing underneath is very strong and pretty tight, you have to perfectly park a very small caster in exactly the right place to leave a dimple.

Its not a worry at all, both my lifts sit on the tiles and when i moved earlier in the year the only way I could tell all that weight had been on the tiles was because they were cleaner :)

i am thinking that i would get the black or grey ones that have the diamond plate pattern. mikeyr: so you had your lifts sitting on top of the flooring & you did not have any issues?? that is pretty sturdy to me!!(good thing)
i wonder how the "solid" pattern flooring would act when rolling things over it, such as small carts & floor jacks???

thanks guys keep the comments coming!!!

Yes, my lift sits on top of the tiles as suggested by Racedeck many (MANY) years ago, never a issue.

The diamond pattern allows things to more fairly easily, its a little hard sometimes to get things started to move but once moving its fine. One advantage is things don't accidentally roll into your Red Italian convertible and ding it up, once you stop tool chest, floor jack, whatever, it stays stopped.
