RaceDeck Flooring -- S. California

Curious to know if anyone in the S. California area has installed a RaceDeck flooring system in their garage & if so:

1: Do you like it?
2: Any issues w/ it?
3: Would it be possible to see it?

I see Jorgen thinks you are in SD so you may have already talked to him, if you are a tiny bit further North of SD, come by and see mine anytime. A few people have taken me up on my offer over the years already, but warning right now the shop is a mess as I am doing woodwork on the car right now (old car wood framed body).

Biggest issue is you can't weld or plasma cut on top of them or you will melt them, can show you that damage too And yes you have to be a little more careful when dragging heavy metal objects with sharp corners because you are too lazy to get out the engine hoist, but after all these years my floor stills cleans up really nice and I love it.

Thank you for the information. I won't be doing anything nearly as intense as welding or plasma cutting so I'm guessing that I won't have any issues @ all.

Just installed mine. Orange County.

This was before I cut the trim pieces. I'll eventually paint the lift and redo the epoxy floor in gray to match.

So lets say you have a habit of dropping at least a gallon of ATF anytime you are working on a transmission (its impossible for me not to do for some reason) Will it sit on top or would i have to pull the squares up to clean underneath? Basically i guess I am asking if the tiles are sealed against eachother?

I'm sure at least some of the ATF will go though. However, the tiles can be pulled up and the mess cleaned. I pulled up my entire checkerboard section and moved it over one tile after these pictures were shot. For me it's a non-issue since the area under the lift doesn't have Racedeck there.
