I've been looking through these threads, and haven't seen an example like my garage.
How have people dealt with a raised area in the garage floor. I have a three car detached, and the back wall has a 2' raised portion that connects to a roughly 5' wide section along one side to the standard entry door. The elevation change is roughly 5-6".
Any examples or suggestions?

got Harley samples of race deck comin gonna do my front entertaining area of my barn, if that goes well im thinkin 18x18 vented race deck for the rest barns 36x72 so thinkin may have to do it in stages my question is how do you clean the vented or free flowing race deck tiles thanks terry

I have Gladiator floor which is made by Racedeck - pretty much the same thing except the tread plate pattern. Love my floor, wife loves it and its great when my 2.5 year old daughters play on the floor and I dont have to worry about them as opposed to cold concrete...

Yes I have a BendPak HD-9 setting on mine.......holding up just fine. I can get you pics if you would like.
I put RaceDeck on the entire floor. I suppose you could stop it in front of the cabinets, but I wanted a uniform look and could move everything around.

I think most people do the entire floor, but the beauty of this product is that you can easily do whatever layout YOU want. I did the flooring under my cabinets and tool boxes.

Yes I would say go under just remember to leave a space where the tile meets the wall for expansion........

I'm still undecided on freeflow or solid. My garage will be used for our daily drivers and working on my weekend car. I deal with lots of liquids while working on the cars, oil, brake fluid but no antifreeze. I live in an aircooled world
I also live in the midwest where they throw tons of salt on the roadway. I dont have a drain in the garage, but the garage floor is pitched a good amount to allow drainage out.
What do people do with the road sludge that shows up during the winter?
With my old place (plain cement) I would try to kick the road buggers out of the garage when I could and in the spring I would power wash the entire floor. If I had a major spill I would get it wiped up and used purple power (without much success) to clean the floor.
Would I expect to do the same with the Racedeck Freeflow?

Where can I rent one of your commercial cutting tools? My moto tiles installed easily and I am very satisfied but I had a devil of a time cutting them. I'm not great with a circular saw and my work shows it. I have plenty of tiles left since I over bought am interested in improving my install. I'm in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Well after a few too many years (4) since I finished building my garage I've decided I'm never going to do epoxy or paint for various reasons (car storage one of them) I placed my order with Racedeck yesterday for the Tuffshield tiles.
I'm doing a black and white floor as there are not too many colors to match my vehicles. Should be here sometime next week, will update with build and finishes pics!

Regrettably only have room for two so I change them up every year or two.
The Gallardo is the next one gone, not sure what it's replacement will be.

I'm raring to go, but the damn weather here on Long Island has been rough, snowing every few days. I'm using some landscape felt underneath just to make sure it's not clacky sounding, it seems to work well on some test areas I did. Probably have to wait till March at least...
Me too. Well it's supposed to be TUFF-shield..lol...guess I'll find out soon enough.
Theses cars only go out once or twice a week and never in rain or snow so I'm not expecting cleaning to be a major issue.
I knew that white would be challenging though.

TOMORROW IS THE INSTALL DAY FINALLY!!!
Can't believe it's going to be the first decent Saturday since January. Last week we had more snow!
Long Island got hammered this year but looks like okay for Saturday.

No worries about the felt holding water and mildew if you get caught out in the rain? A friend has race deck that he uses under his daily driver (Sequoia) and he claims it mildewed badly even without felt below and has a serious funk.
I wouldn't mind the noise, but smell and mildew would be a deal breaker. I daily drive my FR-S in everything but 4+ inches of snow, so the meltoff or rain runoff would end up under my panels.
