Does anyone have Racedeck Free Flow in their garage and also do lots of woodworking? Just curious how cleanup is with free flow design and sawdust. Does it easily vacuum up coming back up through the floor?

I prefer the look of the Free Flow floor. I have 3 car garage that i use one bay for plantation shutter manufacturing so lots of sawdust.

Free Flow for entire floor or just part of it and then Diamond or Circle Track for shop area?

Almost forgot....don't want to be rude..... I'm Kenny and this is my first post. Been lurking awhile getting ideas. Hope to have garage ready for "show and tell" soon.

I would think it will make a major mess but Jorgen will chime in and let you know for sure. You could get some samples and try it out though.

I can't comment on the ease for cleanup but might share my viewpoint on Free Flow versus Circle Track in a garage used for woodworking.

I have a two car garage where one half is for car parking and the other for my woodworking machines -- bandsaw, tablesaw, planer/thicknesser and SCMS. I live in Toronto where lots of snow and salt would be tracked into the garage by the car during the winter. My Racedeck plan woul have most of the floor covered in Circle Track leaving two tracks of FreeFlow tiles under the car tires to catch the snow melt. Sawdust that accumulates would be easy to cleanup on the Circle Track. I have a portable two-stage cyclone dustcollector. It would have enough suction to pickup the majority of sawdust that might accumulate under the Free Flow tiles.

One concern tht I had with the Racedeck was their ability to hold the weight of the woodworking machines. For example, the planer/thicknesser weighs 250kg (about 500 pounds) and rests on four casters. This is a lot of load. I don't know that the Free Flow tiles have the same load bearing capacity as the Circle Track or that they would allow the machines to be as mobile (casters getting caught in the openings).

These are my thoughts; maybe they will help you to decide on a plan for your garage.

I believe the FreeFlow will work out great for you and will be easily clean up with a good shop vac. Personally, I have an area in my garage where we wax and tune Ski's and Snowboards and create a big mess scrapping the wax off. I simply use my shop vac and **** up all of the debris and I am good to go. What is also nice is that it falls through the floor while I am working, which means I am not tracking it around the garage or house . As for weight loads, it will hold up.
