Racedeck Free Flow Help Needed

Finally getting around to remodeling my 3 car garage where I enjoy spending a lot of my time. I live in the North East and leaning towards Racedeck alloy and black checker board combination Free Flow or Free Flow XL either in a 2’x2’ or 18”x18” pattern. I have read many post about the Free Flow on this forum but still have several questions.
When doing a checkered board pattern does the look really change when looking at it from different angles? Some pictures I see I can’t tell if is checkered board or almost like it is a different pattern.
When looking at the free flow at different angles is there a 3d effect on the eyes?
Is the alloy color difficult to keep clean with the free flow?
What size checkered pattern would you recommend for a 22’ x 34’ +/- floor?
Does anyone have any pictures of the alloy and black pattern with the free flow.
Will Racedeck send me samples?

Thank you
Peter

Yes, the look can change. The reason for this has to do with how the light reflects off the angled edges of the tile face. I think it's more noticeable in pics and a little less so in person, but you will see it depending on the light. It does not detract from the look of the tile or interfere with the colors chosen. It does this if you choose all one color as well. The checkered board look from the light refraction happens within the 4 sections of each tile.

Can I install the Racedeck tiles starting at the bottom edge (garage doors) and install right to left instead of what I have seen on the videos going left to right? All my cut ins will be on the left side of the garage around the cabinets.

Thanks

Thanks for sharing David that is what I want the black and alloy in the 2'x2' pattern.
Your garage looks awesome. I think the alloy will match up well with all my cabinets.

Thanks Peter, my floor is 1x1 but it gives you an idea. I have received many compliments on it. I do not find the alloy tiles hard to keep clean. The install was very easy and I don't see why you could not go right to left.

Received my Racedeck 12” free flow and 18” free flow XL today.
I am planning on going with a checkerboard pattern with black and alloy colors either 2’x2’ or 18”x18”.
Any benefit over using the 12” over the 18”? Does one sit better over the concrete floor etc?
Seems like more people choose the 12” free flow over the 18”?

Thanks
Peter

The size tiles used is just a personal preference.....not sure if the 18'' tiles were available when I ordered my floor.

You will win either way you go! The beauty of this flooring is you can change up the patterns or colours easily to give you a whole new look. I've done Black/Red/Graphite FreeFlow and Black/Alloy/Graphite FreeFlow in two different garages. Both worked well.
