RaceDeck Free Flow installed

This is my first post but I have followed the Forum for quite some time.

Our home is 26 years old and the two car garage floor is spalled due to the road salt from our central PA winters. I decided on the RaceDeck Free Flow tiles because we have a floor drain in the middle of the floor that works well.

I called RaceDeck and within two days I had a sample tile and color chips at my door. I was shocked at how fast they responded. My wife and I decided on the Graphite tile for the main floor and edge (forget it's exact name) and also a Red border tile. RaceDeck shipped the tiles in eleven boxes which arrived within seven business days. The install took me a total of seven hours, four hours to lay down the tiles and three hours to cut/trim the tiles on the back wall and one side. Prior to the install I did cut the bottom of the garage door tracks to allow the edges to slide under the track. This works great and I want to thank a previous poster for that tip. I would suggest ordering a few extra tiles which I was glad I did as I cut two incorrectly.

All in all this is by far one of the best upgrades to our home. I cannot thank RaceDeck enough and especially Jennifer Storms for their great product and customer service.

I would also like to thank the Forum Members for sharing their experiences with RaceDeck floors.

Wow that looks great! Nice job!! Yes, order a few extra tiles! I did 600 sq. ft. and only had 3 spare tiles after I fubar'd a couple doing complex cuts around a post/corner.

Looks great, is the graphite tile one color just rotated?

Yes, the Free Flow tiles are one color. They can't be rotated because of the orientation needed to connect them together. The tiles are 1 ft. square but their pattern gives the appearance of different shades of grey. It's quite the illusion.

How do these tiles stand up to steel jack wheels, motorcycle center stands and jack stands? Do the racedeck tiles fair better than the less expensive version? Thank you!

RaceDeck has the beefiest understructure of all modular flooring, it can take a lot of load. This same structure is what we use to manufacture the official Harley-Davidson garage flooring. Rolling steel jacks are fine, though of you are using the racing or small cheap style that have ultra thin and sharp edge wheels, you could cut or mar the flooring. The vehicle load on a jack stand is a non-issue, it is if you are using the cheaper thin angle-iron style legs <^> that can act like a cookie cutter ( the solution is a small wood or metal pad under the stand or use the style that has square or round bases built into the stands)

Just ordered my Racedeck diamond TuffShield for my three car garage; black under the cars, black and alloy checkering in the walkways, and red border around the walls. I will send some photos when I finish the installation.

PappyZ3, the floor looks great. My FreeFlow has been down for 3 years and no complaints. I did damage one tile using a cheap jack stand without a rolled under bottom edge and plopping my Mach one on it. Even at that the damage is minor enough that I have not replaced it. A quick hit with the shop vac occasionally and a wash with the leftover car wash water and a soft brush keeps the floor standing tall. CJDave.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. The floor truly transforms the garage. The floor has been installed for just about 6 months and I can't say enough how great it is. I have one pair of jack stands that have flat bottom legs and they work fine as is. The other pair have a sharp edge on the legs and I use some old outdoor carpet squares cut to fit under them.
