I'm considering Racedeck Free-Flow for a future garage in a winter snow environment. Seems like it would be a good solution to keep the puddles away.

Also, how well does the Free-Flow actually work? Does it tend to get clogged up easily with rocks, dirt, etc?

For those with dogs, do they have a problem walking and jumping into a vehicle with the Free-Flow down?

I'm in my first winter here in Idaho with 1,000 sq. ft. of FreeFlow installed. Zero issues handling all of the slop dragged in on snow days. We had about a foot of snow two weeks ago and it brought a ton into the garage. It all melted just fine and flowed out the door.

There are some dirt spots where the muddy tires were, but those are easily cleaned up with a mop. No clogging with dirt or rocks. I used my battery leaf blower to blow most of it out, and a ShopVac would take care of the rest.

I have two medium sized dogs and they walk just fine on the FreeFlow.

My Free Flow is about 7 1/2 years old and I echo CSRPenFab's sentiments. Love mine and have zero regrets about it. I'm in southwestern Ohio and snow is also a issue here with her daily driver. CJDave.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback, this seems the way to go for the main parking garage.

Since I'm a complete effing idiot, I hadn't even considered simply vacuuming it on occasion, Duh!

A small magnet for retrieving dropped small stuff is handy as is a pair of medical hemostats or clamps for the non-metallic items. CJDave.

Dealing with ice damns in the driveway backing up and melting of the snow blower in the garage, I can see how this is quite the advantage.

Do you have a serious slab design flaw? , the flow of melted snow and road slop will flow exactly the same (or not flow) with RaceDeck FreeFlow installed. The difference being the suspended surface design will be dry and clean when you come out in the morning with a heated or warmer than freezing garage.

In my garage this winter I’ve noticed some pooling of water in the garage near the door when I park the snow blower and it melts. Also my driveway slope is shallow so after all the snows, freeze, thaw, etc my driveway collects water and this year some came in. We are talking 1/8” deep pooling.

I plan to grind the slab down one day to get the pooling spot to drain and hope to replace the bad section of the driveway as well.

I can see the elevated walking surface of the FreeFlow as an advantage.
