I'm considering putting racedeck down here in mid Ontario Canada.Any input regarding the effects of winter slush and salt would be good. Also, what about the noise it makes when you lay it on concrete?

We manufacture right here in Salt Lake City, Utah - Lots of weather swings from big snow in the winter to over 100 degrees in the summer.

RaceDeck is engineered to allow fluids & air to flow freely under your floor, this helps eliminate order causing mold and mildew found when using mats or non-suspended flooring systems. This system is also great to keep your floor cleaner all winter.
In my personal garage, I have RaceDeck diamond in the areas with my toys:) and then I have FreeFlow in the area where our daily drivers are. With Freeflow, all of the mud, snow slop falls through the floor and out the door , my floor stays perfectly clean all winter.

Relating to my other thread I just made, do you use the racedeck "edging" in the sections where you have freeflow?

Thx.

I am not quite sure what you mean by "the mud, snow slop falls through the floor and out the door"

From my experience, if you are going to install race deck tiles during the cold season, make sure to leave a 1/2 inch to 1 inch gap around your whole perimeter. If not, once it warms, you'll have buckling issues.

Other than that, you'll want to get used to a klankaty-klank sound.

I've seen successful poly tile installations here in Michigan. Both solid and open styles have been used with great results. I've asked owners and they all agree an expansion space must be left.

As for the clickity-clack noise, all say you learn to ignore it, although one guy put laminate flooring foam underlay beneath the tiles and it quieted it right down. For how long I don't know.

I plan on eventually doing the open tiles so the slush and melting snow drains away. Can't very well put a quieting underlayment beneath the open tiles; Might defeat the purpose. Just wish I had a floor drain...
