Racedeck Over Heated Floor

Greetings!
I have a 25' x 40' shop with a hot water heated floor. I am considering putting down a Racedeck covering in half of the shop (where the cars and 4 post lift are located). Are there any concerns about Racedeck insulating the floor in that part of the shop and creating a "cold" zone? Of course a cold zone in New Mexico is not exactly like a harsh New England winter. I know paint and stain would not create any type of insulation on the floor, but no one that I know has A. a heated shop floor B. Racedeck

We are based here in Salt Lake City and heated floors are common with RaceDeck . In my garage there is radiant heating and it works very well...I can eve walk on my floor barefoot in the winter. One tip - If you are going to install a RaceDeck floor in the winter where you have a heated floor, put all of the RaceDeck in the garage for at least 24 hours prior to the installation to acclimate and then install what you can with the garage door closed.

Obviously it is an insulator, so there will be a difference, how much is the real question.

You may need to raise water temp to compensate

I agree, there may be a difference but on my floor at least, I can feel the warmth

As long as I can feel the "love" coming through the tiles, then I will still be considering Race Deck and comparable tiles as acceptable. Thanks all for the help!
