Racedeck question

Can Racedeck tiles and borders be easily removed and then put back without damaging the tiles and borders? My garage floor has three sets of the screws shown in the image below (sorry about it being upside down). The screws are used to anchor hurricane braces for the garage door. They are seldom used (only once in the last five years), so my plan is to just lay the tiles over them, and then remove them if a hurricane is approaching.

There is a ledge at the start of the yardstick where the floor drops down 1.5" to where the garage door sits.

The screw heads extend about 1/4". Is it okay to grind out some of the bottom of the tile/border so that it sits flat on the floor, or do I need to replace the screws with something that don't extend above the floor at all? One of the sets of screws is driven over every time my Yukon enters/exits the garage. I don't want to leave the screws out because they "protect" the anchors in the floor and keep dirt/grit out of them.

Lastly, how far from the ledge would you start the border? The ledge is in good shape and flat on top. There's not a lot of room to walk between the back of the car and the ledge/door when the door is closed, so I don't want to start the border too far back from the ledge and create an "uneven" walking surface (one foot on the concrete, one on the tiles, or walking on the full length of the border itself.

I'll provide a little feedback, but can't answer all your questions. My Racedeck use is for indoor car shows and not in my actual garage/shop.

Can it be installed, removed and reinstalled without damaging the tile? Yes.

Can it be done "easily"? Well, it's a PITA but it's not terrible. I'm careful with it but have not broken anything.

Can you clearance the bottom or sides somewhat? Yes. Can you clearance a full 1/4"? That I don't know.

Personally, I would start the Racedeck about 3/8" from the edge of the closed garage door seal.
