I have a small ramp at my garage door

I don't know if I can just slice it there and it will lay down or if there are any other ideas

The ramp is about an inch at deep point and about 2.5 feet long

My ramp is shorter but I just cut the tiles and it worked fine. Be sure to leave some expansion room.

After posting I went and took a look and realized I don't have quite the same situation. My ramp is only about 12" long. I did my layout so the 4" transition piece was the only thing on the ramp. I cut the tile pieces to fit on the flat part outside the ramp. That approach might not work for you since your ramp is longer. I'll try to get a picture posted.

I would recommend cutting the tile to match the edge of the slope, leaving the the area where the fire extinguisher is uncovered. I would then have some concrete paint color matched to the tile and just paint that small area. It should blend in fairly nice that way.

Shea the problem is that the other side of the ramp is a large area in would have to leave uncovered plus I want the whole area covered

Ahh.... that is an issue then. I think your only real option is to cut the tile to match the ramp edge.

How long is the ramp? The reason I ask is, you will want to initially lay the tiles starting at the top edge of the ramp and then extend down from there. It's easier for the tile to flex and change elevation at the joint. How long the ramp is may determine what size tile to use.

Ramp edges are usually 3.5 inches. If you are under 18 inches for example, a 12" tile with a ramp edge would work well. If you are over 22", then an 18" tile with the ramp edge may be a better choice.

I would also suggest contacting RaceDeck and send them the pics to see if they have a better solution. They deal with issues like this every day and may have an even better solution.

It's about 40 inches or so so 3 - 12 inch pieces and a ramp edge would work it's just a real slight transition there so I bet it would bend bad news it the other side is 36 inch so I have to even if out some how probably concrete

I was trying to find a picture we have from a similar install challenge that a customer had and solved ( no luck finding it yet). What he did was paint the vertical lip the same color as the floor, then he ran the RaceDeck up to the edge of the lip and then another strip of flooring up in the higher ramped flooring, it looked really clean. Since there was no traffic on the 11" wide strip, the floor stayed put.
Not sure if I am making sense here? but I will keep searching for that photo.

Do you have access to a 9" grinder, maybe a rental place near by? You would be surprised how much concrete you can grind off in a short period of time. You could make a nice sloped area where the tile pieces should lay flat and keep locked together. Maybe even add some concrete patch to the bottom side so there would be less grinding on the top side area. I'd think a nice gentle slop would be 1 option.
