few questions:I was looking to do 3 different areas in my garage-each with edging around all four sides, Like 3 floor mats I guess you would call it'
Most likely going with free flow because of winters.

1) When I measure for this do I include the edging in the measurements?

2) does the edging go under or meet where the garage door will sit on the floor?
( as you know the door railings are in the way, looking to avoid any cutting.

3) on the race deck website when trying to build your own design- I didn't see where I can add the edging to all four sides, just a border ( same thing?)

4) if size is not even footage- say 24' 8''. does that mean that even when going with 4 side border I will have an 8 '' piece I will need to cut from a full tile to complete the size?

sorry for all the questions- just trying to cover all the bases, thanks

Hi - I answered some of your questions below within your quote, thanks again for considering RaceDeck.

few questions:I was looking to do 3 different areas in my garage-each with edging around all four sides, Like 3 floor mats I guess you would call it'
Most likely going with free flow because of winters.

1) When I measure for this do I include the edging in the measurements? JORGEN - THE EDGES ARE 3" WIDE SO IF YOU ARE GOING ALL AROUND YOU WILL HAVE ADDED 6" TO THE TOTAL WIDTH OF THE FLOORING

2) does the edging go under or meet where the garage door will sit on the floor? JORGEN- FOR BEST RESULTS AND LOOKS, WE RECOMMEND HAVING THE EDGE JUST ABOUT TOUCH THE GARAGE DOOR SEAL. YOU CAN ALSO COME IN A FEW INCHES IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO TRIM THE METAL RAILS OR TILES. THE RAILS CUT VERY EASY AND DOES NOT EFFECT THE DOOR = CLEANEST LOOK
( as you know the door railings are in the way, looking to avoid any cutting.

3) on the race deck website when trying to build your own design- I didn't see where I can add the edging to all four sides, just a border ( same thing?) JORGEN- GOOD POINT, WE COULD/SHOULD ADD THIS

4) if size is not even footage- say 24' 8''. does that mean that even when going with 4 side border I will have an 8 '' piece I will need to cut from a full tile to complete the size? IF YOU DID 24 WIDE IN TILE AND THEN EDGES ON BOTH SIDES THAT LEAVES YOU JUST 1" ON EACH SIDE..

sorry for all the questions- just trying to cover all the bases, thanks

thanks very much for your answers, of course I have another regarding the edging. since this cannot be added when designing I am assuming you just request how much edging you would like this when placing the order? thanks.

Great questions and thanks for the response from RaceDeck. I'm looking at doing a 9x16 single car garage where I store my DeLorean for the winter and was wondering the same thing about the edging. It would be nice to be able to add this in the online floor designer.

great news- I think it will help a lot of people when trying to configure their floors- especially if they some how forget to add in edging or not knowing the sizes. thanks again

This i want to see!

We have added this to the list on the RD site upgrades coming. In the mean time, know the ramp edges are 3" wide

Very cool.
