Has anyone tried these? I'm wondering how well they work, price, install, etc...

There's not much info on them and can't find any other pictures other than what is on the RaceDeck site. Sounds like a great idea and I'd like to use them to light up the sides of a car when detailing.

Hi
Drop us a line or give us a call and we can get you a bit more information. SnapLites are quite popular with retail displays, car show exhibits and detail shops too.

Thanks. I created a design and requested a quote on your website. Ashley got back to me with a price this morning. It was much higher than expected so I'm not sure the snaplights will be in my budget anymore :(

Maybe I can add them in the future if its not too much work to add them after the floor is down.

From my reading on here I was expecting RaceDeck to be a good amount less expensive than the epoxy quotes I received but so far it looks like it will cost slightly more.

I purchased my first home about 6 months ago and this is my first garage build. The quotes I've received to finish the floor have been a real eye opener so far. It's a pretty large space (almost 750sq ft) so that is probably the problem.

Racedeck is still on the top of my list but epoxy isn't looking as expensive anymore.

Did you ask for the GJ.com member discount? From random prices I've seen in various threads it can be quite substantial.

I just did and they got back to me with a new price. It helps but still $500-$800 more than I was expecting. I'm looking for something with a gloss so I chose their TuffShield line and apparently that is one of the more expensive ones.

Something to think about on the price, you can take the floor with you when you move. If you epoxy the floor the next owner will enjoy it and I don't think it adds much value to the house. When I moved, I took my then 10 year old Racedeck with me.

Indeed. Although I just moved in so don't even want to think about moving yet.

RaceDeck is likely the way I'll go but I may end up ordering some cabinets first because I could really use those right now. It seems simple enough to move the cabinets out a few feet and lay RD down then move them back.

I'll post some photos when its ready!

Any other pictures of these lights? How bright are they? If i put them in my race deck under my lift would it be enough to light up the underside of the car, or are they not that bright?

I'm wondering the same. Unfortunately there seems to be no actual photos of them except for the obscure promo photo on the RD site.

I'll likely order a few feet when I place an order and will definitely post some pictures. I'm also curious how they get wired up, I assume they plug into a standard wall outlet but will the cord run under the rest of the racedeck flooring and be hidden?

Jorgen do you have more details on the lights? Seeing this has me thinking this could be a huge help under my scissor lift.

All great question's, some of the same stuff I was thinking about. Also, why no prices on the website, it seems this is any easy by the foot deal ?
