Racedeck surface texture/grip and flex question

Here is what I'm looking to do: Racedeck my whole or partial garage for workbench, motorcycle lift and motorcycle parking.

Knowing I want to park and even lift 700lb + cruisers, what kind of flex will I experience with the Racedeck product? I'm concerned on the effects of long-term storage for where the kickstand meets the decking. Same goes for the lift - the points of contact are the four wheels of the lift; a small surface area.

Also, I see the diamond plate mold in the product, but what about the actual surface? Does it "grip" well when I'm trying to push a bike around or will my boots slip and slide? Is it a tacky, rubbery finish, or slick and plasticy?

What are some pros & cons of Tuffshield over standard Diamond plate?

IIRC race deck can send you some color samples of the material. If not I will have some scraps later this week. If you want a piece I can mail it to ya.

Be sure to check out the "Lets See Your Guns" thread in Free Parking... Got to represent Kalifornistan!

I have my MC lift on RaceDeck and have noticed no flex or indentions; however, the wheels on my lift roll in a metal track and not on the floor. I would imagine that constant rolling over the same area could mark the floor, especially if the wheels are rough. I had my Droptail MC trailer standing up on its casters for several days and noticed there were indentions where the casters sat...however, in a couple of days, the indentions were gone.

I suspected the MC kickstand would mar the RD, so I use a disk under the kickstand.

The diamond plate gives me enough shoe grip to push my bike around and I don't hesitate to maneuver it around the garage wearing Crocs or flip-flops. The surface would be "slick-plastic" but the diamond pattern will give you grip. Cant speak to the Tuffshield vs Standard...I chose the 18" tiles and they only come in standard.

The only thing I've found that I have to be careful with are plastic casters that have been rolled over concrete (which give them a rough feel) or rubber casters that have grit stuck to them. When you're pushing something on your Race Deck that has casters - and you change direction, the caster will spin on its axis, so if there is any grit or roughness on the caster, it will leave a mark on the floor. My rubber caster cabinets are not a problem, but my Droptail trailer's casters will mark the floor when pushing it and change directions. I have some rubber pads that I put under the casters when its parked.

I've been very pleased with my RD.
