hi guys,

per the instructions, a 1/2 inch leeway from the walls are called ....no problem and i took that into account when measuring out my pattern. now, what i didn't account for was that i have two small pipes coming out (hidden by a few boxes that were still unpacked =)) right on the edge of the wall, so that if i left the tiles 1/2" away from the pipe, the spacing between the tile and wall would be 1.5 inches or so.

the fitting on the floor is perfect if i put the tile up against the pipe. do the tiles expand as much as that 1/2 inch in areas that rarely get above 70 degrees? i can cut a small around section if i have to for the area near the pipes but would prefer not too - the less cutting the better.

what have you who have had to cut used for small circular cuts? thanks for looking.......

I would just keep the tiles the 1/2" away from the walls and then cut around the pipe.

I use a jig saw when I need to make cuts that arent straight. I had to go around a support beam at my last place. Used the jigsaw. Worked well with a fine bit.

I totally agree with Tone on the 1/2" spacing and cutting around the pipes. I just installed my floor and had to make several cuts. A jig saw or even a coping saw will work. The tiles cut fairly easy.
