Hello John - Even better, you can come by our offices/factory and see all of our products and even watch them being made. We have RaceDeck in the lobby under the RaceDeck Salt Rod ( the fastest 4cyl street roadster in the world).
Give us a call and let us know you are on the way.
 Once we get settled in the new place and are ready, I'll be in touch.

I have a question for you Jorgen.
I would like to do the entire floor of my garage with RaceTrack tiles, I have even designed my tiles to be a sweet UT Vols Motif :D Thank you for having Orange and White!!!

But, I am concerned about using your tiles (Or anyone's for that matter) Under heavy tools.
I plan for one side of my oversized two car garage, to be my workshop. It in will be some heavy tools, like a Lathe, Router Table, 4 foot CNC Router Table, Drill presses, table saw, etc etc...

Will putting the flooring tiles under these tools make them less stable? Especially the CNC Router table...

My other option would be to put the tiles around the tools, but that would allow for dirt to accumulate along the edges. Which would be a pain to clean up.

Thanks!
Randy

Thanks Jorgen, I sent photos to Dunja and she had them posted on RaceDeck's FB.

It looks like I can post pictures now. Here's the before and after.

Armando6887 - Not sure what or who you are talking about? No one on this forum works for or paid by RaceDeck..Except for me :)

Viriiguy - Like most any other white color floor, dirt and grime will show but the good news is that most all household chemicals and petroluem products will not permanently stain RaceDeck, and if it does we will replace it. As for stability of heavy tools and equipment rolling on top, RaceDeck will handle the load. I personally use engine & ****** lifts, big Snap-on tool boxes, and more on my garage. If you go to our website and cruise through the commercial applications, you will see many examples. http://www.racedeck.com/commercial.html:3gears:

I'd love to put RaceDeck on my garage floor, but I'm concerned with oil spilling on it and seeping through to the floor below with no way to clean it up. Does anyone use RaceDeck in a working garage that sees plenty of oil changes/spills?

yes, lots of us work in our garages and spills are not a problem. In my old garage the floor was down about 8 years when I moved I took the Racedecks tiles with me and there was no damage from 8+ years of liquids being spilled on the floor, 1 area under my lift had some oil on the concrete but not much, I posted pics when i moved so you can do a search for it. The tiles are pretty tight, very little gets through.

My garage floor has a slight slope. I'm worried that once the oil gets through the RaceDeck, it will continually try to drain towards the garage door, which means I'll always have an oil slick leeching from under the tiles.

Does anyone have long term experience with the white tiles? If they are not too difficult to keep looking (mostly) clean... :D I may have to give up my UT Vols motif floor and change designs, but I would rather not :D

What kind of work are you going to do on the White tiles ?

I had all white tiles under my 4post lift for 8+ years in a attempt to maximize light reflection under the car, it worked but the tiles got pretty dirty. Of course under the lift is one of the dirtiest places to be in the garage, pulling a gearbox would get quite a mess on them and I would grind it in while walking around. They always came clean but required much more work then the rest of the garage.

In other areas of the garage with the Black&White checker pattern, the whites were fine.

I went with Charcoal this time around under the lift and I can see the difference in light but they stay but they don't show the dirt as much.

I will be doing ALL kinds of work. And as such, I have decided to go with a Harley color motif. I think the Orange Black and Alloy will be much easier to keep attractive.

As for what I will be doing... I have a few projects coming in the next 2 years.. First will be a fair amount of wood working, as I fix up our new home. I will also be doing basic automotive maintenance. Then when the house is finished, I will be building another Miata to replace the one I sold last year... With a nice beefy Vette motor :)

Plus I will have my electronics workbench setup in there as well for doing micro-electronics repair and modification. So a little bit of everything :)

So part of the tiles in my garage are RaceDeck, other are apparently Snap Lock. They look different on the bottom and the diamond pattern isn't identical. But they snap in perfectly fine.

Is there a difference or did I get "old stock" vs. "new stock"?

I got my sample Race Deck piece today. I am really impressed! It is a LOT more rigid than I had envisioned.. I expected to to be a little bouncy.. Which made me worry. This stuff is going to be great!

P1et - We have a number of divisions here at SnapLock see http://www.snaplock.com
You may have a really old style of RaceDeck from 10-12 years ago. It could also be from one of our other divisions but all are made right here at our ISO certified Factory in SLC.

Viriiguy - thanks for considering RaceDeck and we look forward to flooring you. :D

I am an invernerate ? do-it-myselfer, having built everything from a 20x40 foot in-ground pool from a kit and a 32x62 foot building over it, and other various construction and remodeling projects. Living in Wi, I have been looking for a garage floor that allows me to walk from the car(s) to the door to the inside of the house without tracking slush and salt etc, which melts and pools near the wall between garage and house. RaceDeck looks like a good option, and your blog site says Garage Journal members get exclusive deals, but your alliance site does not list RaceDeck as one of your members. Explain? Thanks RMB

Hello Robert, ( welcome to GJ forum)
If you do a thread search you will find lots of feedback from GJ members about RaceDeck and how it performs. The concerns you have in the garage is exactly what RaceDeck was engineered for.
We have been a GJ member / sponsor for many years and as you will see from my posts, we are active enthusiasts as well. I am not sure what you mean by our alliance site?

A Happy RaceDeck Customer....

Like many things in life, there are a host of options to chose from... Regarding RaceDeck..., all I can say is you can choose this product with confidence... I've been very pleased with the product and as well as the entire process involved with designing the floor layout (using their online tools) and interfacing with the friendly gals at the order desk.

I'd have no problems recommending this product to anyone looking for to improve the looks and performance of their garage floor.

Cheers, Bill

P.S. Sorry for not moving the gear for a better floor pic... :)

P.S.S. Just in case it comes up, I have no ties to RaceDeck, other than a link to their website and their main number saved in my contacts list, where I can order more.... :) :)

I like the racedeck look, but I've got about 900sq ft to do and the cost is a bit prohibitive for me to justify compared to refinishing with epoxy. The self draining tiles are neat, but that would just mean I'd have to find a way to clean under them from time to time.

Boy I'm with you. One of my good friends from Rochester NY was one of their early customers and still loves his floor I've worked on his Camaro on it pulling motors and all kinds of stuff. I think is durable. And I would like to go that route but with almost 1500 sf it's out of my price range.
