Hello all! So I'm looking to do RaceDeck in my 3 car garage again. I had it before in my last house (it stayed as part of the sale) but am gonna use Free Flow this time. My question is, where can I get a large Porsche crest to put on a patch of Diamond RaceDeck? Hopefully Jorgen will chime in, as I have seen that he offers a deal to GJ members. By the way Jorgen, PM Sent. [emoji4]



I've seen many pics of people using what appears to be vinyl logos and graphics on the floor and would love to add this to mine.

I thinking of painting the concrete under the Free Flow. And is it necessary to have any kind of underlayment like the landscape fabric I have heard of? I would think direct to the floor would be best so not to have water standing and not being allowed to dry. I didn't use any with my previous install of Diamond and the floor was quite wet underneath and did tend to slide forward after a while.

Thoughts?

CooperS, I didn't paint the floor nor did I use any underlayment. Actually, very little of the concrete is visible through the Free Flow. I just scrubbed the concrete first. I have no sliding issue with mine but then the back wall of the garage is lined with cabinets, workbench, fridge, upright freezer, toolbox and such. That weight helps anchor the Free Flow tiles. No drainage issues either. I love my floor. No complaints. Dave R.

Thanks Dave, I think I may pass on the paint maybe do a sealer just to keep water from soaking in under the tiles.

Some people put landscape fabric down before laying the Racedeck tiles. This helps prevent "clacking" noise from the tiles and the floor. I didn't do it and I do have a slight "clacking" sound, but it is very minor and it does not annoy me. Still, if you think it will bother you then maybe you should put the landscape fabric down first. The price of the fabric is small so it adds very little to the total cost of the flooring.

Actually, I had the Diamond before the landscape fabric idea we even around, and I didn't find the sound a problem. I was thinking more of seeing the concrete through the Free Flow tiles AND helping the water dry up quicker on a painted or sealed surface than hanging around on raw concrete like it will do.

I actually think I have gone back to doing the floor painted, then lay the RD down. My side walls have about 4" of concrete on all sides so I was planning on painting that so it looks finished anyway.

Thats what i did with the curb areas, and a Lil bit of paint on the ground next to the curb for the gap. I just used gray garage floor paint from lowes, it matches the alloy tile color very nicely.

I did that exact same thing, same paint too. Blends in great.

I think most people who get an brand logo decal supply the approved artwork to a printer who uses the 3m type floor decals. There are many online and almost all major printers in a city make these as well
