I installed a racetrack floating floor in my 2 car garage. It does not stay secure in place. What can I do to fix that? Is there something you can recommend?

I just spoke with RD about the same issue, it slides & buckles when the cars enter.
My answer was to creep in VERY slowly until the tires are fully on the tiles. RD answer was to put down non-slip rug underlay across the beginning and ending rows of tiles. I will get to that, but slow driving seems to be working.

How fast are you parking? :3gears:

Seriously though, that's annoying. Maybe a blob of RTV or caulk under a few tiles would be better than a rug. No bump and easy enough to peel off if needed.

I have the edging trim at the doorway of the garage. I think a larger gap around the perimeter might help too.

Don't know if adhesive is the right answer as it will not allow for proper expansion and contraction which could lead to cracks.

I would suggest posting a picture of your garage so you could get a more accurate response. Also where do you live, climate also has an impact.

The reason it buckled is it is touching a wall or something somewhere.......it can't touch, it has to have room to expand.

I have heard this before on that style flooring. The only flooring that does not have that happen is the flat thin flooring. You would think at the price of those floors this would not be an issue. it is worse im told in places like Florida when you leave you garage door while the sun is shining right on it. Oh Gez Let us know if there is an answer for this.

Im interesting in seeing additional pics of the expansion gaps around and even a short video of it happening when you drive in.

My RaceDeck Free Flow has been down since September, 2014. It does not touch at the edges and I do have the tapered edging at the overhead door opening. No buckling or scooting here. Dave R.
