Rack and gear lift

Hello,
I am looking for a rack and gear that will run on a 1/2 to 3/4 inch pipe or tube. The gear would run off a knob to raise and lower an indexing pin.

anyone know where to source something like this? Have seen something similar for servo motors, but this will be used as an indexing tool and hand operated, Really don’t want to go down the rabbit hole and put it together from parts,

Search for Acme Screw jacks. McMaster is like $250 a piece so you should probably poke around on Ebay and purveyors of cheap **** to see if you can find something cheaper.

I'm a little behind on my reading this holiday season, but the thought that came to my mind was a rack and pinion steering box, like the ones used in Jr. Dragster's and some smaller Formula cars. I had a a Formula 440 that had one nice compact light weight unit. I couldn't ever find one in a catalog to share, but maybe with more perseverance you may find one. I tried Jeg's and another go-cart outfit that I think is now gone also been awhile. I'll poke around maybe a little this week. Harry
