Taking advantage of sales I purchased a set of HF Vehicle Positioning Dollies. After failing to find a rack that would work, even ordering one online and having the joy of returning it, I set out to make one.
So here are the details images noted.
Used a HF large 30" dolly, 4pcs 3/4" black iron floor flanges, 2pcs 3/4" 18" long black iron pipe (sawed in half), 2 pcs scrap 30" 2x4. A couple hours later its done. Total cost less my time about 40$, flanges were about 5$ each and the most expensive.
Needs a coat of black paint, ready to go. Rolls easily.

Very nice.

Now give some of the same clever thinking to a similar mod for efficient storage of jackstands -- that's one I could really use!

I am glad you said that. I have six jack stands taking up floor space. I need a tower for them.

EDIT: Props to you bugnut. That looks good.

Very nice. Thanks for posting this. I have 4 sitting in boxes right now waiting for a floor in my barn.
I'll be stealing your design next year.

Great design, I am going to barrow it, if I may. I have a used set that was included in a parts trade.
