Morning all,

Still trying to find a decent, American made if possible, in my budget, drill press. I found a radial arm Penncraft Premium that is in real nice shape. Can anyone tell me who they are, where they were made and if its worth 150 bucks? Just doing nothing thicker than 3/8" bar stock and sheetmetal in the garage.

Thanks

Sid

Penncraft was J.C. Penney's tool brand. They had Rockwell (Delta) make may of their power tools, so it is likely a Rockwell.

I think you will find this tool is designed for woodworking and not near the rigidity required for metal work. Understand also that most homeowner drill presses will not go slow enough for metal working. Look up some drill speeds required for drilling metals and then compare those to the speeds on the drill press you are looking at.
