Not all boilers are used to produce steamDo you really want a boiler? What Seam pressure will you be using? Boilers need inspection at regular intervals.
A hot water heater, on the other hand typically gets ignored from when it is installed until it fails many years later.
OK, That is their opinion.
I respectfully disagree.
Boilers boil water, that is why they are called Boilers.
If all you want to do is heat water, or some other fluid, you have a Water Heater of a some other Heater.
my opinions and beliefs are influenced by what I learned in the Navy and my service on ships with 600 and 1200 pound steam systems.
I had a conversation with my younger brother who has retired after 40 years in the boiler business. He let me know that the difference between a boiler and a water heater is in the controls. He also pointed out that my opinions and beliefs are influenced by what I learned in the Navy and my service on ships with 600 and 1200 pound steam systems.
So I stand corrected, I now accept that the hot water "Boilers" used to heat garages and homes are boilers. Just as VW Rabbit pickups and Kenworths and Peterbuilts are all products of truck makers and are all trucks.
