Thank you for your time and input. Building a 100 x 60 and would like to use radiant floor heat in 6 inch slab the problem is i have a lot of equipment that needs mounted to the floor (jib cranes, equipment ect...) is there a way to mark out the loops or find them in the concrete so holes could be drilled through the slab ?

I have seen some people on here who are installing lifts just run the pex around where the holes will be drilled to mount the lift. I don't know if you know where everything will be mounted so that may or may not be an option.

Thats the problem, in the biz I am in now there is always change and additional equipment to add and move around for efficient work flow. Also there is floor drains that will be installed as well.

Maybe is you keep a very uniform pattern with perfectly straight lines you could make some measurements after the pex is in and mark it and then take LOTS of pictures. I'm not sure if that is clear or not. I mean you would have a picture that shows off the right hand wall the first row of pex is 6" off the wall and then exactly every foot from there. So you could drill anywhere between 7"-17" off the wall and so on. Make any sense?

Yes that does make sense. I also had the thought of using a wire or something that could be piked up buy a metal detector. So the combination of measurements and detectors it could be mapped out.

Your floor drains should be plumbed before you pour.
You metal detector will just find the reinforcing mesh everywhere.
In your case I would think about overhead IR radiant heat. It warms just as well but is up and out of the way when you move stuff around.

How deep do the anchors for the equip. need to be ? You can always staple the PEX directly to the foam insulation and set your steel on chairs over it. This way the tubing will be at the very bottom of the slab.

Paralell a single or double conductor of telephone wire with the tubing, and bring it up where it will be easy to get at in the future.

When you need to locate the PEX put tone on the wire and hounddog it the way phone guys do. A decent hounddog will easily penetrate 6" concrete. Worst case you use a high powered unit.

WoW Thanks. I sure do like this place.
Along with that I was pondering Marking them out with a different color cement or something while the create is in a working stage.

The depth of the anchors I will have to check on. I will be mounting 1 ton jib cranes
