I have decided on putting in radiant heat in the floor of the new shop, my question is that I want to do the install myself, I need help in layout of the loops. MY building is a 60'x140', I am going to break this into two sections, a 60'x80' and a 60'x60' section. I am only planing on heating the 60'x80' at this time, but due to expansion down the road I want it in floor just in case.
Is there anyone out there that installs this professionaly, that could guide me in the right direction? I have seen alot of different ideas on what is ccorrect, 1/2" line 12" spacing to 5/8" line 18" spacing on loops. Some have said no longer than 300' loops others have said up to 500' loops? I only have one chance to do this right. I have talked to a couple of local contractors, but they dont want to elabirate on details, cause they need the work right now.
I hope to get the foundation started next week, so will be needing something soon. Sorry for being so last minute, but the more I read on here the more I wanted it.
Thanks!!
