Hello all,
I am getting ready to order a control panel for my garage floor radiant heat system from Krell Distributing. I have a 1200 sq ft 5 in thick floor, I put 2in insulation under it and insulated around it as well. I have 4 loops of 300 ft 5/8 pex in the floor. They sent me a quote of $500 for a panel that is ready to hook up to the heater and floor. I thought it sounded like a real good price. Does anyone have a Krell system? When talking to them, they seemed very knowledgable and very professional. I am just using it as a 1 zone- 1 temp system. Thanks

FWIW We dont have enough info, are you getting a bypass setup to use with an existing electric boiler or a gas tank water heater or what? All of the equipment on my wall was under $300, including the heater, but I did not use a recirculating/mixing system to keep it simple.

I currently just have pex in the floor and a 4 loop manifold installed. I plan on using a gas hot water heater. The panel from Krell has the pump, expansion tank, air purge etc. It is mounted on a board and has an input and output for me to hook up to the heater and manifold. I have seen the picture of yours with things labeled. It would be similar to that. It doesn't have a recirculating/mixing system. Hope that helps

Sorry, no pictures here just yet but I am doing the same thing right now. I saw a compact board that could be bought. Close system, pump, pressure tank-purge, small manifold, relief valve $1600!!! I have a 4 loop system, pressure tank-purge, manifold, pump for $600. I hope to have everything up in a week or two. The reason I am on here right now is to check out a couple piping layouts.

I think you can build it for less, but with a tank style heater most guys use a bypass/mixing valve type of system to prevent shock to the to the water tank that can cause condensation and eventual failure, not to mention the hit the efficiency takes.

Check Menards, they have a pre-made unit with a mixing valve, thermostat and primary pump with install instructions for only a bit more than the one you are looking at. It really is more for the tank heater setup.
