Currently still building my barn that has a 50 x 80 enclosed area I will be looking to heat. I plan on having a vapor barrier with 2" R-10 foam on top and been looking into the oxygen barrier pex. Not sure if I can use the standard pex for radiant floor heat or this would be a better option. But one issue I am running into is figuring out what the ideal layout will be without having loops that are to long in total length. Is there a program online that I can use to give me a layout to go around my floor drains or lift? Been looking into this for a little bit now and just going cross eyed from it all.

^^ I used loopCAD for designing my 30x30ft shop. It worked good. 3x280ft loops, 3 port manifold, one zone. Not sure how loopCAD handles obstacles. I didn't have any so I didn't have to figure that out.

Go with the oxygen barrier pex with using it for radiant heating.

Blueridge offers this design service free if you buy the oxygen barrier pex from them. They also rent you the stapler.

Use the proper PEX for heat. Tighter loops = faster response and lower water temps= better system.

Nothing special about going around things -- just ... go around. They make no wax toilet flanges.

keeping the 1/2 under 300' is what you want to do. Keeping them all about the same will make the balancing easy and a simple manifold.

Local plumbing supply houses just looked at me like I was a fool when I asked about such things, but I found foam rubber gaskets online.

Not just handy for a heated floor, but quite necessary for a toilet in a workshop without air conditioning when the temperature can go over 100F.
