Radiant PEX vs. Water PEX

I have some radiant floor PEX left over from doing the in-slab install and wondering if there would be a problem using it for a few runs for "potable" water in the shop.

I know you can't use the Water PEX for radiant heat piping since it lacks an oxygen barrier, but what about the other way around??

The oxygen barrier PEX is designed to keep oxygen from escaping the tubing and rusting ferrous metal components of the heating system.

I doubt that would harm potable water in any way.

I say go for it.

OK, thanks guys. We'll use it up then for some of the plumbing. I couldn't really see any issues with it but thought I'd ask around first.
