I'm looking into radiant tube heat for my shop. I have natural gas. Shop is about 36 x 66 and insulated fairly well. I already have one Reznor 80K forced air but would like to have the radiant too. Will 30' feet be enough? Where can I find best pricing? Thanks....

E-bay was the best price I found.

And I searched high and low.

As far as length goes, 30 ft isn't even close. I have 200 ft in my floor. That is on a 2000 sq ft area w/ 1" underground insulation in AZ. I do live at a high elevation though.

Proper sizing requires total cubic feet to be conditioned, insulation, # of doors/windows, desired indoor temp and ambient temp of your area.

I believe dubya is referring to a radiant tube that hangs from the ceiling, not hydronic infloor heat. As for sizing and pricing, your best bet is to call around to local contractors they will be able to size the system correctly and give you a price, most will give free estimates.

I have a 40,000 btu with 30 feet of pipe in a 1100 sq ft attached garage. Works great in northern Michigan.

You are looking for output, determined by a heat load. The vendor should size this for you. Too much output = higher equipment and operating cost + less comfort.

Ever notice your Reznor doesn't run for very long?

Here's a Canadian brand. OK , not US but at least not Chinese. Can you give us Canuck cousins a chance? :D

Our workplace has these in the entire building. I have had no problems in the two years I have had my FarmTek one, but work has also had no problems in the years that they have used Easy's. They are more money, and the shipping was much more for me as well to go that direction.
