Newbe here! Really impressed with the posts on this site. Seems like someone always knows what to do. I am planning a 50 by 50 building for next spring construction. I am using radiant floor heat but am having a hard time coming up with a tubing schematic and the number of zones needed. Anyone have any ideas?

First, please fill in something for a location in your profile. Especially for heating and cooling questions it helps us to know if you're in Canada or Texas.

Do a search in this forum for "radiant" you will find tons of info, including links to some very good radiant heating suppliers.

Quickly, 50x50 is 2500 sq/ft. general rule of thumb says 1ft of tubing per sq/ft, so 2500 ft of tubing, with an approx. maximum loop length of 300ft. This means you will need 8 loops minimum.
If you plan on keeping an open building with no interior walls you can do it all in one zone, if you are thinking dividing the interior you will want to look at seperating the system with zone controls.
