I did a web search and Radicon is the gearbox company, on the machine itself I cant find a tag or nameplate.
I got this while cleaning out a closed machine shop. It was modified (single purpose) to bend 5/8" rebar for Crab pots in a 3ft. diameter. I am of the impression it originally was used to machine engine blocks but many of the fixtures are gone. It was manufactured by David Brown Inc in California.
The reduction is from 1740 to approx. 2 RPM. Weight is approx. 1000lb. Electric motor is a replacement that was there when I got it. The machine stands about 5ft. tall and is approx. 5ft long and 2ft wide. The output shaft is 3" and the driven wheel is 10".
I'm in the process of design and fab of a multi radius and thickness of material to bend other materials. A test bend on 3" wide 1/4 inch flat indicated not a bit of strain on the system. The photos show the reduction mechanism, the end face with multiple mounting locations for fixtures and my initial try at adjustments. I've installed a reversing drum switch for the 2HP motor.
Hope the photos are helpful in the ID.
