You won't have any problems with LED fixtures.

We replaced all the fluorescents in our lab with LEDs due to new building codes and we do t have any problems with the work we do.

We do a lot of lab evaluation on cellular circuit boards and chips that is sensitive to RF and there is no signs of any interference.

I charged the bulbs in my two garage door openers with LEDs a few years back. Afterwards I found that I could open the doors with the remote controls from a distance, but had to be within a few feet of the devices to close them.

After a while I figured out that whenever the lights were on, the remotes barely worked. Once the lights timed out they worked fine.

I swapped the LEDs with another brand and the problem disappeared.

Are you a ham radio operator, or have another application that may make you more sensitive to RFI than other people?

good fixtures and electronics are a wise choice, but when you are buying box store cheapies...you will get a lot of RF, perhaps not at a frequency that will annoy you...

in the ham radio world, the interference is so bad that the ARRL (national organization for amateur radio operators here in the USA) has petitioned the FCC for them to actually enforce emissions standards, specifically for LED and similar lighting and ballast emitters. Notice the "again" in the title.

thanks guys
no special application (i.e. Ham radio, etc), just need to listen to music or ballgame in the shop. I inheirited some commercial fluorescents in my shop and they are a PITA. I do know that RF can be a problem with commercial units so I am changing out. think LED's will be a good option

Seems you can always get a quick answer to nearly everything on this site.
