Hello folks,

I'm sending this out to all of the electronic gate/garage door techs out there.

I have a sliding gate on my driveway which is controlled by an All-O-Matic SL100AC operator. It works extremely well for a 20-year-old unit. The radio receiver unit is a 310hz Linear DGR, part #DNR00084, and the remotes appear to also be 20 years old; they are single-button units the size of a pack of cigarettes. They are powered by 9-volt batteries that constantly need replacing, and the range is very limited (I have to drive right up to the gate to use the remote).

I would like to upgrade the radio receiver to something modern and compatible with my Liftmaster garage door remotes.

I found the Liftmaster 850LM and it appears to be a definite upgrade - thoughts? Is there something better? And would it be compatible with the MyQ system?

Other than that, is there anything else out there that would also integrate WiFi, so that I could possibly control the gate with my phone and maybe Alexa?

Opinions and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Per this site:

It says it's not compatible with MyQ openers: "This Receiver is not compatible with myQ enable Garage Door Openers."

I assume, if it won't work with myQ openers that you can't integrate it with any of their myQ internet gateways.

My opener uses the following control panel, which is compatable with myQ openers and uses the gateway for internet control. I have not looked at integrating this into the specifics of a gate though.
