Rafter calculator needed
I have some rafters that are going to be around 19' total with a 1' overhang. I will be lathing over the rafters and installing a metal roof. I will also be tying the rafters together with a 2x at 8' 6" up from the loft floor. IT will have a 12/12 pitch and we get maybe 1" - 2" a year of snow but it does not stick with the metal roof. Part of the shop will have a shed dormer that has a 4/12 pitch. How do i figure out how tall rafters I need. My shop is 26' wide and 40' deep. I think I need 62 Rafters total however the ones over the 4/12 won't have to be as long.
Using this calculator http://www.awc.org/calculators/span/calc/timbercalcstyle.asp It looks like using #2 southern pine I can use 2x6. Is this what you guys see.
