Appreciate the input. The rafters are all hung so toe nails it will be.I am absolutely a nail fan. If you do a good job at the walls, This part of the structure should be without much of a need for them, but I would still use them. I don’t like to toe nail, I would drive from the opposite side of the rafter I am nailing.
You don't need to toenail. Just angle the nail from the opposite side.
Oh, I see. Good advice, thank you.What @Zeke is saying is to use a piece of PVC or Trex like material to provide a support under the threshold after installation. And yes they are made that way by design. The doors jamb would typically be set flush with the wall framing, not inset.
Having the hanger connect to half the height of the board should work right?This is really the hanger to use for that connection.
