Hope this is not a repeat thread.
Lowes is getting out of the Evolution Chop saw market. Employee told me that they are not selling well.
My Mooresville, IN store has a pretty good sale on the Rage II and III.
Rage 3 was $249 now $179.28
Rage 2 was $299 now $215.28
Rage 2 blade was $78.99 now $31.50

I bought the rage 2 and the spare blade.

Edit: my Lowes now has the rage 2 for $107 and some change.
Brought my receipt there and got $115 back.

Wow that is a pretty good price, toss a 10% off coupon on top and it is an excellent deal. I hear you can just buy the blade and toss it on your miter saw if you arn't looking to be a heavy user. Though I have always been scared of these type of saws would need to make sure everything is clamped down nice and tight or I would think you could really hurt yourself or someone around.

Not familiar with these, do the blades work in other brand saws? Specifically Dewalt.

Just got back fro my Lowe's. The saws were already gone but they still had a lot of 10" blades for my Rage 3. I picked up 3 for 15.99ea. I debated grabbing the rest on the shelf but figured I wouldn't be greedy. These three ought to hold me a while since I'm just a homeowner/hobbyist.

What section are they in? Looked in the miter and chop saw area but did not see any.

You can look at the website to see if your particular store still has any in stock, and what price they are. You can even purchase on the web and pickup in the store.

Just picked up a Rage 2 and a few extra blades at the Lowes in Arnold, Mo. Had one left in box and the display. $107.64 and $14.22 per blade.

FYI just ordered a Rage2 from the Bloomfield, MI store for $107 (up until a few days ago it was still $214). The Madison Heights, MI store closer to me still showed $299 online.

I'm starting to see these saws hit the CL market at a marked-up price. Before this sale, I never saw an Evolution there. Folks trying to flip saws.

Just got back from my Lowes and I picked up the last Rage 3 for $89. I checked a few others and they are also showing $89. They just marked them down this week here so they are still out there. They also had the Rage 2 chop saw for $107 finally marked down this week also.

imho the reason they are not selling well is that they really are diy tools they are worse than any other saws I have used!. Any of the Evolution tools that are green really are not very good, but their blue or orange range of tools are pretty good on par with atlas copco.

That they do have different lineups.

Evolution Steel
is their industrial line.

Evolution Build
is their mid grade/contractor type.

Evolution Project
is the homeowner/consumer.

I have the Rage3 and for what it does it's been great. I have a couple QC gripes but the saw and blade has eaten through 1/4" steel (and wood, pvc, conduit) with ease.
