what is the best sealant to use on leaking gutter end caps?

Best stuff I have gotten was a silvery metallic tube of sealant from local Allied Building Materials roofing & siding yard. It was basically their house brand. Very gooey and sticky, have used it on an "old" gutter with success also, just make sure to spread it back to "clean and dry" metal.

Geocel Gutter Seal worked well for me. I used it when I installed the gutters and downspouts on my house and when I repaired the gutters on my parent's house. Both of these projects were during the warm, dry summer months. This time of year when the weather is cold and wet, Henry Wet Patch might be the only sealant that would work.

Use some good masking tape for straight lines,clean putty knives,and wipe down the areas to be worked with rubling alcohol for a good bond.
