keeps raining on my parade...lol, I dug out the hillside(highlift) to build my garage friday,32x64x14 they are susposto pour the footers(form-a-drain) wednesday May 13, then stem walls and the floor the folowing days, but with all this rain the last two days i just don't see it drying out enough to get a truck with forms and concrete up in there to pour wednesday, driveway is a uphill grade and like pudding, I did dig small ditches all day to direct all the water away from where the footers will go so it isn't standing water like it was this morning....just a little aggrivated, ok well alot, I have been working so hard pulling strings GC'ing this thing myself and begging subs to come out and do the work at stages, and I finnaly get on a schedule and now this, wish me luck on the reschedule, and digging out colapsed walls 8 ft at the back corner....lol well it wasn't earlier before it got dark and started pouring again. rant over..lol

I feel you your pain on a lot smaller scale. I having my power upgraded to 200amp under ground service Thursday and I live in a high clay area. thanks to all the rain I have standing water in the yard and water seeping into basement. I cant wait to see the mess that the trencher leaves. good luck with you poor.

I understand. Spent Friday and Saturday digging in my septic system between the monsoons. My dad and I did get it all in and about half of it back filled before it got too wet. It took me almost an hour straight of power washing to get the rental backhoe clean enough to turn back.

On the good side it did fill the pond nearly 3 feet!

Forecast is talking about 3 more days of rain at end of week.

Reminds me of the saying: If you want it to rain dig a hole. (or trench).

Its always a challenge planning and scheduling work outside and dealing with the weather. Its frustrating but the rain will stop and your project will continue.
