I have a hose bib at back of house, where grade is highest around house, about 6" above grade. It's straight out of basement, about middle of 2x10 joists for first floor. Exposed in basement and ball valve for winter shut off a foot or so from where it goes through band joist.
Very inconvenient bring so low. How do I raise it? Does not seem feasible to add plumbing in wall. Best I can figure is extend to a "T", put a hose bib high to use and one low to drain for winter. Not pretty.
I suppose other option is a hose bib connected to existing with a hose.
Never faced this before - old city houses all have higher first floors on mostly level lots - and was looking for that brilliant solution someone on GJ came up with.
Thanks!
