Hello, new to this so I am trying my luck, I have a tool that was called some sore of a spark plug wire crimpers It has a patent number of 1658418. If anyone could share some info and what they are worth it would be appreciated. By what I have read they are for cars made before the 50's. I like to collect old wood working tools,so they would be better off in a mechanic's tool box. Thank's!!!

Rajah was a brand of terminal so those would be crimpers for putting those terminals on to spark plug wire of your choice.

This is what I've been using for many years. A Belden 7504 crimper. It makes making spark plug wires a breeze. I don't think it's being made anymore but they show up on eBay. Another option is a Dynatek 7-way crimper, which is a close copy of the Belden.

There were/are a bunch of styles of Rajah terminals for auto ignition (many different styles going back to the dawn of time), tractors, and the igniters for furnaces.
Some are screw-on, most require crimping a 360 degree sleeve. This place has a few:

Yours...does it have a sort of shallow nipper part that strips a very short bare end onto a plug wire, pus a crimper with riveted dies and a cut-off?? The one I have seen carried a 1959 date stamp, but they surely go back way more than that as well.

If your is looking for a home...let me know about it! I use Rajah terminals on elderly Fords.
