I am planning to install all my roof trim before my metal Ag Panel roof so I can paint the trim quickly without masking. I have a gambrel roof decked with OSB + underlayment and plan to put 1x4 purlins on top of the deck to give a nice airspace and extra meat for the screws to bite into. When I install my rake trim, should the top of the trim be nailed flush with the top of the roof deck or should I raise it up to be flush with the top of the purlins once they are installed (I will trim the rake ends with either drip edge)?
Thanks.
Thanks.
