im not sure he knows much about them. i questioned some of them being half inch drive, but he said he checked all of them and they are 3/4.

i dont want to hound him i keep staring at the picture and cant tell if i can put a set together or its just multiples of a few sizes.
moving and needs them gone.

Looks to me like you might have a couple duplicates. Is there a ratchet or breaker bar with it too?. Obviously it's hard to tell but most of those sockets look identical to my Williams set. What kind of coin is he asking?

Looks like he already degreased them for you. If you need that size $50 obo is cheap...

Probably not much interest in sockets that big, offer him $30 and probably get for $40.

If they are Made in USA sockets, I'd say snag them after your best negotiating !! :D

Around $40 works out to less than $1.50 per item which isn't bad at all. Even if you only use them a handful of times, you've gotten your money's worth. ;)

He sent me an email saying phittsburg and evercraft. Said most were evercraft.

I'd pass. For $60 less coupon you can buy a brand new set at HF. The rats **** but work. Maybe find a good USA rat at a yard sale one day....

I have gotten fairly complete sets of 3/4" and 1" drive sockets on fleabay. For sockets up to 2", I averaged about $10 each, counting shipping (except $15 each for the 3/4 deeps). It took a while, most of the impact sockets have some rust, and there are still a couple sockets I need, or at least want. But, they are all U.S. made.

If the largest is 50mm the scale of the picture is what's misleading you. 50mm is HUUUUUUGE bro. Since he mentions metric I assume it's a mix of metric and sae some of which are sized close and would look the same.

I "splurged" at HF a couple of years ago, and bought their 3/4" Drive set...

Used a 20% off coupon and got out the door for less than $ 50.00...

Ugly!!!

Horrible!!!

But---

Functional!!!

No reason for a DIY'er to spend more...If I was a professional wrencher, and used them a lot, then I'd spring for a good set...

That HF set blows. I'd buy these if most are unique sizes and in good shape. But I'd offer $30 like the other poster said. You can always find a decent 3/4" ratchet by itself and you'll have a much better quality set than if you buy the *********** set.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Pits-burg HF? And Evercraft, Napa's version of chinese tools???

I'd pass....just looked, and an entire set from HF is $57, with ratchet, bars & extensions.

Now guys, I have no experience with HF tools, so I can't say how well they would work. My problem, I live WAYYY from town, and when a wrench breaks, your down.

Does that make sense? What you spend, might be determined where you live too!

:scared:

You are the first person on GJ that I have seen that has talked bad about the HF 3/4 set. It is kind of roughly made but they work really well and take a beating.

There's no denying they're ugly..... But extremely functional.
Even on an impact gun.

Although I'd go for the harborfreight impact sockets if I were buying again.
They're finished a lot nicer, and I'm sure just as strong.

Evercraft is taiwan
I see a ton of sokets and ratchets at sales and I can say by looking at them you can tell how they have been used and hold up. Most of their tools I've had good luck with but I always see 3/8 and 1/2 extensions split on the female or the square busted off the socket end.
